ORCAS Launches New YouTube Series: All Access Emergency
The ORCAS Society of BC is excited to announce the launch of our brand-new YouTube series, All Access Emergency!
This unique series is designed to help individuals with Autism, their families, caregivers, and the broader community become more familiar with the people, vehicles, equipment, uniforms, and environments involved in emergency response.
Through All Access Emergency, viewers will get an inside look at the important work of first responders and emergency services. By providing opportunities to learn and become familiar with emergency personnel and their equipment in a safe and accessible way, we hope to help reduce anxiety, build understanding, and create stronger connections between the Autism community and first responders.
The first episode of the series features South Fraser Search and Rescue (SAR), including an inside look at their SF-1 and Command vehicles and the important role their team plays in helping keep our communities safe.
This series is part of ORCAS Society of BC's ongoing commitment to promoting Autism Safety and fostering positive, informed, and respectful interactions between First Responders and the Autism community.
